Dachshund History
Dachshund history is sometimes found on kennels websites and on pure breed rescues sites. If the breeder will give you the dachshund history, it can be very helpful, but without the dachshund history, you need to be able to evaluate the dog carefully.
There are several varieties of these dogs; they are: the Standard height of which is about 14-18 inches and weight is about 20 pounds. The Miniature type is up to 14 inches high and weighs about 9 pounds. The toy type is up to 12 inches and weighs about 8 pounds.
