Coyote Snare

The name of the animal originated from a Spanish alteration of Aztec name “coyotl.” These animals are also called the Brush or Prairie Wolf. The scientific name of the species is Canis Latrans, which means “a barking dog”; the first description of the animal was given by Thomas Say.

The animals were killed as they were thought to be pest and the animals are smaller than the Wolf and are close to a medium-sized Collie. The tail is round and bushy. Some representatives of these animals can weigh for about 20 pounds. A coyote snare is often used on a farm where photos are available.
