It is rather difficult to breed the birds as they are difficult to adapt in captivity and it takes years for them to adapt and to breed. The birds bred in captivity are rather expensive. These birds live together in groups of twenty or more, even during the mating season, and feed on various seeds, fruits, and insects. The halfmoon conure chicks are popular with breeders.
