When you buy dogs, you should carefully evaluate the breeding dogs and ask for dog pedigrees.
Breed clubs, obedience training clubs in your area, veterinarians, groomers, and pet supply outlets may be good sources of information about responsible breeders and reputable kennels. Newspaper ads do not make a very reliable source. Reputable breeders rarely need to advertise in this way.
