This breed originated in the 1960’s in the USA. It is a cross between the American Cocker Spaniel and the Miniature Poodle. It is not registered by the AKC now, but may soon become a recognized breed; nowadays only the NACR and CCA register such dogs.

The first dogs of this breed were the result of unplanned mating, but then such matings have become planned, because many people liked these dogs for their sweet personality, interesting look and intelligence.
