They do not attack until they are close to their prey, thus they get as close as 1.5m before pouncing on it. They are excellent climbers and are the few cats that can climb down head first and they like to hunt tree animals also.

Also called Coati.
As they eat tree-dwelling animals (primates) they have been observed to jump onto prey from trees, they don’t usually feed in trees. In Thailand, leopards were observed to catch monkeys by pretending to climb up a tree, which caused the monkeys to jump to the ground where the leopard could more easily catch them.
