Clydesdale Draft Horse
The clydesdale draft horse is quite large compared to the average breed of horses and a breeder needs to be equipt for it's size.
The place of origin of this breed is the Clyde Valley in Scotland. The 6th Duke of Hamilton is believed to have developed it in the 18th century. There was a need for large working horses at that time, as the Clyde valley was difficult to farm.

Soon, the breed became very popular all over the world, and was imported to many countries. The breed survived during the times of industrial revolution, while other pulling breeds declined. Mainly, it happened because the breed was chosen to pull Budweiser beer wagon.
