Puppy

These dogs are about 16-20 inches (41-51 cm.) high and weigh about 55-85 pounds (25-39 kg.) Males are usually bigger than females. These hounds prefer to hunt for pheasant and partridges; they take naturally to retrieving, and are good water dogs.

Though these are very strong hounds they can have a lot of ailments and diseases. Thus they can be prone to panosteitis that is juvenile lameness, and hip dysplasia, as they are very active and playful. The dogs can also drool, wheeze and snore.
