Nowadays the population of these animals have greatly decreased. Due to low numbers of these species, they are considered endangered. The scientific name of the animal is Neofelis nebulosa. There are also many subspieces of the animals: Neofelis nebulosa brachyurus, Neofelis nebulosa diardi, Neofelis nebulosa macrosceloides and Neofelis nebulosa nebulosa.
