The dogs should be weaned at 8 weeks of age and provided with basic socialization and obedience training. This breed is considered to be very difficult to housetrain. These dogs should be handled with care and given lots of attention to be happy. They are distrustful toward other dogs and reserved with strangers. These little creatures are very protective around their owners and can be dangerously bold with larger dogs. They are very fragile and large dogs can be a serious menace for them.
