These dogs should not be trusted with small children or larger dogs. They do well without a yard but appreciate daily exercise and running. They are very suspicious of other dogs and can be reserved with strangers. Being tiny and delicate, they are reckless in protecting their loved ones and sometimes it takes quite a while for them to calm down after seeing an alien dog trespassing their territory. They are intolerant of teasing and may snap children. These dogs love company and should not be left alone for a long time.
