The standard size for the breed is 6-9 inches high at the shoulders. These animals have an apple-shaped head with large ears, luminous dark eyes and a pointed muzzle. The chest is deep and broad, but not like in Bulldogs. The limbs are straight and compact, the feet being neat and dainty. The tail is usually carried over the back. These canines come in various colors, and there are smooth-coated and long-coated canines. Somehow, long-coated are more kind-hearted and less peevish than smooth-coated animals.
