Before adopting a chihuahua puppy, puppy picture and temperament should be evaluated by the rescue.
The dogs of this breed are rather vulnerable and small babies need constant attention, because the mortality rate among them is very high and only experienced breeders can raise a healthy dog. Small dogs should not be chilled, because they can easily get cold. The dog should not be taken to a new home before it is 8 weeks of age, because the mother teaches her babies canine socialization, which is important for further training. All dogs in early age should have a basic course in obedience.
