Purebred dogs never weigh more than 6 pounds, and they measure 6-9 inches high at the shoulder. Some species can stand on all fours in the palm of one’s hand. Their portable size makes them excellent travel companions, and they can withstand and even enjoy long trips. They love company and should not be left alone for a long time.
