If somebody offers you to sell a miniature dog of this breed, it is surely a fraud. These dogs are very sensitive both in terms of temperament and in terms of physical influence. They are intended for apartment life and should not be used as service dogs. Being the smallest dogs on earth, they make fine home companions and excellent therapy dogs.

All living creatures vary in size and appearance and sometimes a very small puppy is born, but it’s not a type of dogs. The ideal size for show quality dogs of this breed is 4-6 pounds, although dogs above 9 pounds happen. The size of newborn puppies is no indicator of how big they are going to be in adulthood. Puppies of equal size may have a twofold difference when they grow up. Some breeders apply smaller species in an attempt to produce smaller dogs to avoid birth difficulties.
