Never overfeed the dog of this breed, because they are susceptible to overweight and may develop hypoglycemia. These dogs cannot stand too cold and hot weather.

Some breeders pick up small sires to avoid birth difficulties. In fact, it is not the size of parents that defines the size of the offspring, but the combination of genetic characteristics they pass over to their young.
