| American Pit Bull Terrier: | American Pit Bull Terriers are lively, fascinating pooches. Passionate, unnerved, stocky, and rough and ready – these dogs are the essence of brute force. Some liken them to machines buoyed up by the force of their innate, seemingly boundless energy.
The American Pit Bull Terrier has a widely known frame with a square, large head suited to the huge jaws and scissor-shaped mouth. They’re extremely efficient at guarding property, and they make excellent vigilant scouts because no one wants to even attempt to mess with one. The proportion of strength to size borders on the uncanny.
The mood and temperament are extremely fortuitous. Dog-aggressive and people-friendly as well as a dutiful loyalty and staggering propensity for affection and obedience make it one of the world’s most apt family breeds. To stave off angry tendencies toward other dogs some dog socialization measures are expected. Since this dog has a natural inclination to assert its strength around other males, make sure that training at a young age is prompt. However, dogs that are already mature might not act on this instinct unless provoked, and it’s wise to go ahead and check out the dog in a real instance instead of jumping to conclusions before purchasing it. The American Pit Bull Terrier is also brave and eager to please his master. However, since the dog is so playful and unaware of its own strength, don’t leave it alone with children. It might mean well and still do serious harm. As a side note, it should be posited that most dogs of this breed are not aggressive toward humans at all. This is in contrast to an intuitive feel of the breed. The story goes back to the dog fighting days when breeders would breed them specifically for handlers. The handlers had to heal the dog’s wounds, pull them out from tough fights, and feed them at close range. Therefore, breeders culled all dogs that showed any aggression toward humans. The bloodline of human-unfriendly dogs is hardly ever recorded nowadays. Of course, humans can mistreat any dog into a state of sorry behavior.
Weight for the American Pit Bull Terrier should be between 35 and 65 pounds for males and 5 pounds less on either end of the spectrum for females. The short coat is but a single layer thick and somewhat lustrous and highly reflective.
The American Pit Bull Terrier is universally lauded as the super dog for many objective and subjective reasons. Objectively, the vast majority of championship awards have gone to this breed for measurements of obedience, athletic ability, and weight movement. Their agility for outdoor sports is curiously strong, and many owners highlight their dog’s ability with a game of Frisbee, fetch, or sprinting in parallel. The American Pit Bull Terrier has a bad reputation, but it’s a commonly undervalued and underestimated breed to laymen.
