Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is also called the Ruby Spaniel and Blenheim Spaniel. It's a toy dog with coat colors like mahogany, tan, chestnut, pearl or cream white, black, or tricolor. The coat is silky, satiny, and wavy with a smooth, almost feathery, texture. The King Charles Spaniel of its centuries past is its ancestor. It was often depicted in paintings from centuries ago. The painter, Van Dyck, was known to have painted them alongside Charles II. The dog is an inveterate tail shaker even though its tail is sometimes docked to no more than 3 or so inches. It gets along well with people, and it needs them to feel fulfilled. This is not a dog that fares well alone. They're said to be courageous, spirited, and people-friendly. They were originally used as hunting dogs so a fun frolic in the field is something they enjoy. It weights 10 to 18 pounds, and it has a height of approximately 12 to 13 inches. It lives about 10 to 14 years with standard diets and living conditions that are not adverse or stifling. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is thought to be a descendant of the King Charles Spaniel. Even though it's classified as a sitting lap dog, it will still slip and slide outside the confines of the lap because its second only to the Pug in toy dog girth and size. It's about the size of a teenage Spaniel of other breeds. However, the notable difference is that its tail is full-size. Most Spaniels, unfortunately, have docked tails. Since the breed has such an affectionate demeanor and aspect, people everywhere call it a sponge for soaking up love and affection. It's the quintessential resting lap dog. It just can't do without its loving master's gaze and caresses. Since the dog does so well with other dogs, exercise caution when displaying it around humongous, mean dogs. It won't have a clue that it's about to be attacked. The dog thrives in a climate with moderate temperatures that don't go in excess of 85 or below freezing temperatures. That's Fahrenheit. Any kind of harsh weather is tough on this wonderful toy dog. Contrary to misleading facts in the media, this is not a snob dog. While movie celebrities, royalty, and notable figures frequently own the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, the dog's disposition is easygoing and outgoing to all. The same cannot be said for celebrities. Also, some breeders grill prospective buyers about their suitability as an owner. For this reason, on account of the people attending and owning them, they have been grossly mislabeled. Just because the English royal family has owned them for 400 years straight does not mean that the dogs are snobbish. In fact, the dog's people-friendly temperament probably offsets the snobby characteristics of their owners. Senior citizens or those without children revel in the dog's lap-sitting trait. It's a peaceful, calming dog that has few, if any, downsides. However, monthly nail clippings and a slight trimming are in order. Weekly brushing is needed, but it’s therapeutic to brush through your dog's hair. Cavalier King Charles Spaniels regard strangers as new friends, and that means you could get one today!
