These dogs appear young for a very long time, up to 1 years old and longer. The CKCSC, USA Code of Ethics does not allow a newly born dog to leave its new home before eight weeks, and advises ten to twelve weeks as the optimal age for transfer. Some concerns with young, untrained dogs include chewing on inappropriate objects and/or going to the bathroom anywhere and everywhere.
