The cats remind the lynx; they have rather long ears with the dark tufts on the tips of the ears. The animals’ habitat is Central and Southern Africa and the Middle East and Southern Asia to India. The animals prefer dry savanna and woodland areas.

The body of the cat is very slim and the legs are very strong and thin; the tail is long. These cats can grow up to 3 feet long and the tail can be about a third of its body size.
