This is a powerful hound with a square head that is nearly as wide as it is long. The muzzle of the hound is broad; the chest is deep and broad. The coloring of the coat can be: fawn and various brindles, white markings are sometimes seen.

This is a breed not for everyone as it requires a very dominant owner who understand the alpha nature in canines. These are very outstanding and friendly dogs that make very good guard hounds.
