The exotic classifieds will have a picture or photo of rare creatures.
These wild cats are solitary animals, but sometimes they travel in small groups consisting of three or four individuals. All these animals are in danger now. They are close to extinction and need to be protected. It is a well known fact that three subspecies became extinct in the first half of the 20th century. Those are the Bali, Javan and Caspian. Today, there are five subspecies in the world, and these are the Indo-Chinese, Chinese, Sumatran, Siberian and the one described.

These animals are endangered in all countries of their habitat. Their historical range is very wide, including practically all Asia, but today they are found in small territories of India, Bhutan, Burma, and Bangladesh. They inhabit rainforests, swamps, grasslands and deserts. They maintain home ranges, the size of which depends on the amount of food available. Male’s ranges may cover 200 square miles. Females have smaller ranges, and usually there are several females’ ranges within a male’s range. The exotic classifieds will have a picture or photo of rare creatures.
