Burmese Cat


The burmese cat breeder will usually be supportive of the local cat rescue. This breed was first recognized in 1936 by CFA and that postponed the registration between 1947 and 1953. At first the breed was not very popular and only in 1952 the breed was recognized by GCCF. The breed has become well established in Europe, particularly in Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. The burmese cat breeder will usually be supportive of the local cat rescue.

In Australia and New Zealand this breed has become a popular breed especially known for their rich golden eye color. The coat of the animal is quite short, sleek and close lying to the body with fine hair. As far as the standard of the breed is concerned it differs in the various associations. The burmese cat breeder will usually be supportive of the local cat rescue.
