These cats are lovely, easy-going and trainable. They are short-haired, and therefore demand little in the way of grooming. They are not good for outdoor life, because they may not recognize a danger and they lack aggression, which makes them vulnerable in catfights.

They have sleek hair, the underside being lighter than the outer coat. These cats are heavier than they look; they have a rounded chest, straight back and a straight tail, which tapers toward the tip. Ears are set widely apart and are inclined a little forward.
