According to the breed standard, these dogs stand 11-12 inches at the shoulders. There are two weight classes within the breed: between 19 and 22 pounds and from 22 to 28 pounds. Dogs over 28 pounds are disqualified from the shows, but they make good pets. These small creatures are easy to recognize by erect bat ears. Their head is very large in proportion to the body. The scull is flat between the ears, but the forehead is slightly domed. The coat of this breed is short and glossy. It doesn’t need much grooming to look nice.
