Bulldog Rescue

The bulldog rescue will usually have a photo of each dog available on the rescue lists. Nowadays this breed is really a fine animal in its own right but not a true working dog. In fact, the working dog has long become extinct in his native land at the turn of the 19th century. These dogs still survive in America and nowadays can be found in the mountainous regions of the rural south. These dogs were also used as guard dogs and there are many historical records that there have been many dogs kept in the yards sometimes on chains and used on human bad guys. There are many names the dog had: Old English White, White English, English Pit, Old Country White and many others.
