These dogs are not recommended for novice owners, because their care needs are very specific. Though their exercise needs are very low and some dogs prefer staying indoors, they have to be walked daily. Regular exercises are very important for their health. Some dogs of this breed are very playful, but most of them are described as couch potatoes. Being very sensitive to cold and heat, these dogs should be kept indoors. Exercising a dog of this breed in hot weather may be lethal, because the respiratory system of the breed is inefficient.
