Purebred dogs that come from certified breeding stock and have a good ancestry are much more expensive than pet quality dogs. When choosing a purebred puppy, don’t be impulsive, but act slowly. Pay serious attention to health of the puppy and its parents. Visit the kennel yourself and evaluate the conditions in which the litter is kept. First few weeks of life are very important for the future progress of the pup. In good kennels, puppies are kept indoors in a stress-free atmosphere. They are socialized early and usually have no problems with housebreaking. Puppies should be neither timid nor aggressive.
