In the wild they prefer to inhabit grassy plains and open woodlands of sub-Saharan Africa. They are primarily grazes, but may eat the leaves of bushes. These creatures are 4-6 feet in height; 8-11 feet in length. Males weigh 1000 lb and males are 1,500 in weight. Cape buffalo pictures are inherently interesting; a baby is even cooler to see.
