The dogs are 24-27 inches (62-68 kg.) high and the bitches are about 22-25 inches (56-64 cm.) high while the average weight of the dogs is 75 pounds (35 kg.). The coat of the dog is coarse and strong similar to that of a goat's coat. If a briard dog rescue has enough volunteers, they will spend time training and socializing the dogs.
