Georgia boxer rescue will provide education to any kennel and rescue dogs in need.
These dogs are not for every household, as they require strong-willed and dominating owner, which is able to control and train such a strong and courageous dog. In the wrong hands, these dogs may become uncontrollable and aggressive. Such animals are often abandoned, but too aggressive dogs cannot be adopted and should be euthanized. Another reason for abandoning the animal is poor health or age. Senior dogs often develop health problems: tumors, cardiomyopathy, stenosis and others.

The choice between a male and a female dog is a matter of personal preference. Both males and females make admirable companions. Adopted dogs cannot be bred and should be spayed or neutered. They cannot compete in the conformation ring, but may be shown in performance events. In this breed, tails are docked within a few days of birth; ear cropping is customary, but not required. Dewclaws removal is also optional. When choosing a pet, pay main attention to its temperament, but not to how it looks like. Dogs that have been neglected or mistreated may become aggressive and difficult to deal with, so be careful with adopted pets.
