Dogs Boxer
If you are attracted to these dogs, boxer rescues and kennels will explain the characteristics of the breed.
The ancestors of this breed were two German mastiff type canines, the Bullenbeiszer and the Barenbeiszer. They were later crossed with the powerful ancestors of the Mastiff and Bulldog. They were also popular as circus and theater performers because they learned tricks so easily. The dog’s body is compact and powerful and the shiny, close-fitting coat comes in fawn, brindle, white and various shades of red, with white markings. The tail is usually docked. Ear cropping is optional. The dog’s head should be in proportion to its body, lean and unwrinkled.
