Kittens
Bombay kittens should be obtained through a reputable breeder and a member of the catteries associations.
This breed is a result of crossbreeding of a Burmese to a Black American Shorthair that took place in 1958. As a matter of fact this breed is a man-made breed. The cats really resemble Burmese in type very much but they have longer legs and bodies.

These are well-muscled and deceptively heavy cats for their size. The tail should be neither long nor whippy. The coat on a mature specimen (at four years) should be black to the roots; allowance in coat color is made for younger cats.
