Texas Heeler

A Texas heeler is very similar to Australian heelers and in a photo you can hardly tell the dogs apart. Australian Cattle Dogs were primarily derived from a mix of smooth, blue speckled Collies imported from Scotland and wild Australian Dingoes. Australian Kelpie, Dalmatian, and Bull Terrier were also added to this breed later. As a result a new excellent herding dog appeared. It is a good worker and is willing and able to drive cattle across vast distances under harsh, hot dusty conditions. This breed was used and suited for Queensland.
