Texas Heeler
A Texas heeler is very similar to Australian heelers and in a photo you can hardly tell the dogs apart.
Australian Cattle Dogs were primarily derived from a mix of smooth, blue speckled Collies imported from Scotland and wild Australian Dingoes. Australian Kelpie, Dalmatian, and Bull Terrier were also added to this breed later. As a result a new excellent herding dog appeared.

Texas Heeler -
photo, dogs
It is a good worker and is willing and able to drive cattle across vast distances under harsh, hot dusty conditions. This breed was used and suited for Queensland. The hounds have very good hunting and guarding instincts, which they may extend to people and other animals.
