In Alaska, black bear hunting is allowed, yet be careful in farm areas as farms attract many species.
This state is very rich in wildlife, as natural habitats were not destructed very much. About 100,000 of these animals live there and all kinds of hunting are permitted, you need only a license. Spring hunting, baiting and hounding are legal, but body parts trade is prohibited.

This species is the smallest of 3 others that inhabit the state. It is stronger and adapted to colder climate, having long dense coat and hibernating for 6-7 months. During a very short summer these animals have to accumulate enough energy, so they are efficient hunters.
