Endangered Bengal Tigers
Information on endangered bengal tigers may be obtained at rescues that care for this cat.
There are only about 3000 of these animals left in the wild and their numbers are continuously decreasing. There are many reasons for that: for many centuries these beautiful animals were hunted for sport, for their fine fur and other body parts used in the traditional Asian medicine. Unfortunately, the world has not overcome illegal trade as of yet, and the population of these unique animals continues to decline. The truth is that at least one animal falls a victim to poachers every day, and chances are there will be nothing to save in about 20 years.

Endangered Bengal Tigers -
rescues, cat
Today, there are only about 3000 of these animals in the world and about 500 of them live in zoos and private ownership. The reproductive rate of the species is very low and many cubs die in the young age. Separate populations are segregated, and it is difficult to find mates. Mating and feeding problems lead to serious genetic and behavioral abnormalities, and there are alarming reports about increased numbers of attacks against humans. More often than not, they perpetrate attacks against domestic animals and thus excite anger of farmers who consider killing them the cheapest and most effective way to save their livestock. Information on endangered bengal tigers may be obtained at rescues that care for this cat.
