Bengal Tiger Tiger
Obtain information on the bengal tiger, tiger photo, and find contacts of feline rescues.
These animals are solitary and they usually hunt alone; when the time of mating comes the male and female meet. Usually the female has to look for the male, as the territories of hunting are extensive. These cats breed during the winter season. Males do not stay with the same female for a long time and do not take part in raising the cubs. Females have to be on the alert with males, because males can kill the cubs. A nursing mother is extremely protective around her young and chases males away from her lair.

Bengal Tiger Tiger -
photo, rescues
The size of their territory depends on the amount of the prey that is found on it and if there is not enough place and food the animals migrate to some other places. The animals may have rather great territories; they may be as large as 120 square miles. These felids have a poised and patient temperament that enables them to hide for a long time until prey comes within a striking range. Hunting for large game does not come easy to them, and usually it takes up to 10 attempts to catch a deer or an antelope.
