Bengal Tiger Pic

These animals can actually breed all the year round, but usually they mate in winter or spring. The mating period lasts for 20 to 30 days; the gestation period lasts for about 103 days. The cubs are born small and helpless and are usually left alone by their mothers for a period of time that mothers hunt. However, mothers never get too far away from their young and attack immediately should there be something or someone posing a threat to the cubs. Litters usually contain 2 to 3 cubs, and the largest litters contain up to 5 cubs. Males do not participate in rearing the young.

Bengal Tiger Pic -
pictures, rescue
Little cubs are fed by their mother up to the age of two years. Only then they begin to hunt on their own. Usually there are about seven cubs that a female can have every two years. In the wild, the mother could not kill enough prey to feed so many hungry cubs, so usually only two survive. Mothers are usually wary toward males approaching the young. Not infrequently, males kill cubs, especially those produced by another male. Therefore, females do not usually abandon their young for a long time and do not get too far away from them when hunting. At the age of two months old, the cubs are exposed to the world at large, and the mother starts to teach them to hunt. The bengal tiger pic or pictures can be found on big cat rescue sites online.
