These animals mate between November and April; after the gestation of 103 days, 2-5 cubs are born, but one or two usually die at birth. Babies are born blind and helpless and for 6-8 weeks they are fed mother’s milk. After 8 weeks they start learning to hunt and follow the mother on hunting trips. By age of 6 months they are capable of killing small game. Their striped coat enables them to hide, and white species cannot hide because their white coat makes them conspicuous.

Bengal Kitten Tiger -
picture, photos
At the age of 1-1.5 years these animals begin hunting on their own, but cannot mate until they are 3-4 years. This species is endangered today due to habitat destruction. Agricultural expansion, new roads, hydroelectric damps and human settlements push them into smaller areas. As their traditional prey is gone, they are more likely to attack livestock and humans. Human interference has resulted in increased inbreeding in the wild, which in turn causes serious hereditary illnesses and undermines the general condition of the species. Many animals fall victims to poachers who kill them for the sake of fast money. Look through animal sites to find a bengal kitten tiger picture and view photos of exotic pets.
