Stripes of these animals are like human fingerprints; every animal has its own pattern. Stripes act as camouflage helping these predators hide from the prey and attack suddenly. These creatures hunt mostly at dawn and dusk; their body outline is broken by the coat pattern. These animals do not possess a great stamina and cannot run for a long time, although they can develop a speed of 60 km per hour. They spend 18 hours of day time sleeping, and prefer to hunt at dusk or at dawn. They prefer not to climb places, but are famous for their ability to swim.

Bengal Pictures -
kittens, breeder
Adult males reach up to 230 kg in weight and up to 3 meters long; the tail is half as long as the body. Females are 2.5 meters long and weigh about 140 kg. Most animals have orange or tawny coats with brown or black stripes; stripeless and white variants are possible. White species are not actually albinos, because they still have creamy coats, chocolate stripes and blue eyes. They are a little larger than their orange relatives and are extremely rare in the wild. A white cup can be produced by two orange species carrying a double recessive allele responsible for this coloration.
