The home range depends on the prey availability and if there are not enough room and food for all individuals, they will move to some other places. The home ranges of these wild felines may be as large as 120 square miles. Males have larger home ranges than females, and a male’s range usually overlaps several female’s ranges. A male usually mates with several females and competes with other males for sexual possession. Males prefer not to fight with each other as they usually follow scent markings.
