habitat continues to shrink due to man's activity. This is a regal and magnificent cat, whose roar can be heard 2 miles away. These felines rarely attack humans without provocation and prefer to avoid contacts with them.

Indian Tigers are the second largest felines on earth. They have an orange coat with dark stripes, which camouflage them in the wild. These animals are predators, and they hunt deer, antelopes, buffalo, young elephants, and also smaller game, like birds, snakes, lizards and even small crocodiles. Unlike other felines, they like water and are good swimmers. They cannot run for a long time, and hence rely on ambush tactics when hunting.
