This is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization, which is dedicated to saving needy dogs and community education on the breed. They provide education and referral services for the dogs from area shelters, stray dogs, and dogs from homes that can no longer keep their dog. Needy dogs of this breed need homes, which are ready to devote time, energy, patience, and love to train and care for the dog. A fenced yard is a requirement with this breed. Some dogs require a higher fence, as they are jumpers. Dogs should always be supervised.

Prior to adopting a pet of this breed, you should read much about breed keeping requirements and be ready to face some difficulties associated with the breed. Being very independent and intelligent, some of these dogs are more challenging and may be hard to housebreak and train. The owner has to try various methods of training to find out which works best with this particular dog. Consistent daily obedience training is necessary for at least two years of the dog’s life.
