Basset Hound Cards

Basset hound cards are usuallly a picture of the dog and can be obtained from rescues as a fundraiser. These dogs are known to have descended from the St. Hubert hound, now non-existent. The breed was developed as a scenting hound and was used to trial and drive game away. All parts of the dog’s body are functional, beginning with the long ears, which help to hold the scent for the nose, and ending in short legs, allowing a hunter to follow the dog o foot.
