Also called Congo Dog.
The coat of the animal my come in various colors: chestnut red, pure black, tricolor (pure black and chestnut red), brindle (black stripes on the background of chestnut red), with white feet and tail tip. They may also have white facial blaze, white legs and a white collar. Basenji shedding is minimal, so a rescue or a kennel spend little time on grooming.
