The dog is well balanced in appearance, slightly longer than tall. The straight and wavy hair is weather-resistant. Preferable coat colors are blue merle, black, red merle, and red, with or without white markings. The dogs have a smooth and easy gait. Animated and friendly, the dog has an even temper.
