Puppy
A puppy is the offspring of a female dog; puppies are born with brothers and sisters as a litter.
The newborn animals draw nourishing milk from their mothers until they are weaned. As a rule, the time of weaning depends on the amount of milk in the bitch or on the size of the litter. It is recommended to start feeding them solid food at about 31/2 to 41/2 weeks of age.
