Anatolian Shepherds
Anatolian shepherds will not have a photo on most rescue sites.
This is a livestock guardian dog, which is accepted as one of the flock that they guard. They have an extraordinary speed and agility, which allows them to run down a predator with efficiency. Turkish Shepherds often equip their dogs with iron-spiked collars, which serve as protection against attacking animals.

Also called Karabash.
This is a serious dog, affectionate and very devoted to its family. It is also laid back and non-aggressive. It is generally good with children. However, playful and active children may find their pet too serious and not enthusiastic enough. Anatolian shepherds will not have a photo on most rescue sites.
