Responsible breeders provide all their puppies with registration papers; puppies of pet quality get limited registration, that means they cannot be bred and take part in competitions for purebreds. The breeders should provide you with a pedigree of at least three generations. If you do not want to buy dog, contact rescues for available dogs.
