American Bulldog Shows
American bulldog shows will have extensive information available on rescues and breeder kennels.
There are two different types of the dog within the breed and they are called after the people who became to breed these dogs. These types are Johnson type and Scott type. The first type was long ago used in bull bating and also as a catch dog on wild boars; they also were good at guarding and protecting the farm and the cattle.

The second type was also called a standard type and the dogs of this type are smaller and less aggressive and calmer than the Johnson type. There has been another type created by crossing these two types and it is called the Hybrid, and it was made to improve the two previous.
